The Board

A voluntary board of eight members with skills across Business, Economics, Finance, Medicine (Specialist and General Practice), Medical Academia, Health Management, Legal Services, Social Enterprise and Marketing is responsible for the management and administration of the foundation.  The foundation meets five times per year with the Annual General Meeting usually being held in November.

The Northern Community Health and Research Foundation benefits from the assistance of Professor Gregory Crawford (Medical Faculty of the University of Adelaide), Professor Suren Krishnan (Clinical Professor in Department of Surgery, University of Adelaide), alongside past board members Emeritus Professor Derek Frewin and Dr Michael Kain, all being highly experienced in the medical needs of the northern areas of Adelaide.

Three sub-committees covering Grants, Investments and Marketing/Philanthropy helps drive activity within the foundation for the local communities.  

The grants committee coordinates the promotion of availability and evaluation of applications/proposals.  The investments committee manages the Trust Fund and income generation.  The Marketing + Philanthropy committee assists to develop the foundations’ brand, it’s communication across stakeholders and driving the philanthropic cause of the foundation.
